FLUTTERING BUTTERFLIES ...

So far,i had to remind myself that somebody was inside me.From 21 weeks on,it was amazing.I could feel my baby moving around.I started to experience soft kicks all over my belly which were more like a couple of butterfiles fluttering in the same direction. :-)When i touch my belly hard,my baby responsed back with a kick.:-)I loved playing... :-)

Only i could feel my baby.Only i could sense what it was upto.This made it even more special...My bond with the baby was increasing day by day.

PRINCE/PRINCESS???

Sex of the baby is something that everyone would want to know after 20th week ultrasound.:-)Specialist had handed us out couple of 3D pictures from which we inferred the sex of the baby.We could not trust and conclude our inference, so we never revealed it to anybody :-)
We knew what we had...But,Keeping secrets is always fun,right???:-)

Third Ultrasound-@ 20 weeks

Finally,i developed some tummy.Now,anyone would say i was pregnant.;-)...
Seems, babies male/female organs develop inside mother's womb when they
are 5 months.My hubby went through a couple of magazines to learn how to find babies sex looking at the ultrasound.All set to go...

Date :18th MAY 2010
Time :8:00 AM in the morning
Place:Somerset Medical center

Same ward.Same specialist.Same bed.But one thing was different.Our excitement to see the baby.Transducer probe moving on my tummy and eyes fixed on monitor,we eagerly waited to see the baby.

OMG!!we saw it ...It was no more an alien creature now.Well distinguished eyes,nose,ribs,bones,fingers,toes and a big tummy :-D .Tears rolled down my cheeks seeing the tiny little baby .That was picture of our little one @ 5 months.Specialist handed over couple of pictures and one among them revealed sex of the baby.. :-)

Length :19 cms.bit longer than a half foot scale. :-)
Heart rate :172/minute

After going back home,i must have seen this picture for atleast 20 -30 times.Babies have ears and they can hear you after 5 months in the womb.Reading this fact,I started talking to my baby from then on...

DOCTOR VISITS TILL 24 weeks

Our doctor visits till 5 months were always brief.In fact,our waiting time was longer than consulting time. :-)Doctors in US never open their mouth unless and until you put them into a questionnaire session.They are very careful in uttering words.

I registered myself to this website.This was too informative that we never needed a doctor consent.We would just visit to hear our doll's horse riding.I meant his heart beat. :-)

Second Ultrasound -@ 12 weeks

6 weeks after the first ultrasound.Again,there was no big difference in me except for nausea.
Date :22 MAR 2010
Time :8:00 AM in the morning

It was the same lady in ultrasound ward.She called out my name and we rushed in with excitement to see how the little one looked like.Transducer probe moved on my tummy and we saw the baby in the monitor.Baby had grown to the size of a tadpole now.It had a head,tummy,hands and legs.That is all we could see in 3D :-(. It was too busy moving his hands and legs at a fast rate. :-)

Specialist handed out a copy of our babies 3D picture.This was the ultrasound picture of our little baby at 3 months.It was 4.5 cms in length and its heart beat was about 171/minute. :-).

Untill 3rd month,i never realised something was growing inside me.I was so lethargic about my health.Now,i realised that it was my responsibility to make the tiny one grow healthier and stronger before it sees the world.My intake increased slowly.Towards the end,I drank about 1 quart of milk a day. :-)

FIRST ULTRA SOUND-@ 6 weeks

Baby had just formed.Except for my nausea,i did not see any difference in me.

Feb 7th 8 AM 2010, we were in ultrasound ward.The ultrasound specialist moved the transducer probe all over my belly and in no seconds,we could see the tiny lil creature we created on the monitor.Baby looked like a small ball and we heard the heartbeat.It was a one of the all time best moments.

Specialist told us that everything was normal and oct 3rd would be my due date.

Length of the baby formed :1.8 cms
Heart beat -172/minute

We could not believe that we were mom and dad already:-).

INDIAN CITIZEN /US CITIZEN???

US or India was not the question here.All i needed was his moral support and all he wanted was to stand by me during hardships.

So,answer to the title was US Citizen without any second thoughts.

I was blank before the first visit.Our first visit was with one of the midwives,Jaimini Patel.She was an indian with american accent:-).She just did a couple of tests on me and advised me on what to eat and what not.

Inkling,Jan 27th 2010

Exactly,2 months after our wedding...

I was cooking lunch for my hubby in kitchen and suddenly felt discomfort in my upper tummy.Initially,i thought it was the dal makhni churning my tummy.

hmm...Then,I could not bare the smell of my favorite spinach.This was
strange!!So,I just stopped cooking and started talking to my mom.Casually,i just informed my mom that i have mild vomitting sensation from morning.

My mom insisted me to rest for a while.My mom is one of the'Kabhi kushi Kabhi gumm' types.She always feels me and my brother wherever we are...I sensed the panic in her tone.THAT WAS HINT NO.1.I sat on the couch crossing my fingers.Mixed emotions....My moms warning was building strong tension underneath.Clock showed 12:00 and my husband will be home anytime from now...

He was home in minutes and i could not express what i was going through.I could express only tears.With tears,i told him about my hint.My hubby hugged meinstantly.I definetely felt better with the hug.It is true that hugs and tears on its own express millions of feelings....

Late in the evening,we got a manual kit to test pregnancy...10 important seconds of life...
10 secs up and First response showed 2 pink lines which means i was pregnant... :-/
Shock and surprise served in one plate!!!

NEVER ENDING DISCUSSION...

I was already 26 yrs old in Jan.Myself and my hubby had a never ending discussion about prons and cons of having baby through out the month of jan.Pros were that we will get a peaceful life in later 50s.Cons were that we will miss our youngy ages:-)

As i mentioned before, ours was a pure love marriage.Our parents neglected our marriage stating many logic zero complications.One of which was-'You guys will have problems in having a baby'.These statements were purely based on the day outs our parents had with famous astrolgers in and around the city :-).You will not believe if i said they spent in 1000s on those stupid astrologers!!!

Eventhough we never trusted such stupid remarks,this particular baby thing was hitting my mind too hard.So,we decided not to use any precautions and accept whatever comes in return...
