Teething stages
We knew Siddhu was teething from his 6th month.It takes several days for a teeth to come out.So,it is tough to find exact dates on which the spouting of those white diamonds began...:-)Approximately,dob of his first teeth should be in August 1 week
SEPTEMBER 1 -WALK WITH WALKER DAY...
We purchased a walker in August.Siddhu was never pleased with the walker as a toy.
He can stand with Walker support but didn know how to sit on floor leaving the walker behind :-).Took few days for him to learn that..
Finally,
On September 1st,Siddhu took his steps with Walker.He just loved it.He smiled and did his walking exercise the entire day.

Virginia Beach -July 4
Siddhu was 9 months old when we took him to VA beach.If you search for top 100 people scared of an ocean,i would be between 50 to 100 ranks:-).Me and Nagaraj din want Siddhu to join my club.So,We decided to take the jr to beach in early age itself.
july 1 to july 4 was a long weekend.We planned our small vcation to VA especially to check out the beach.VA Beach was very crowded and water temp would be anywhere between 15 to 20c in the early evenings.Dip...Dip...Dip...We immersed Siddhus feet in a small wave and in no seconds ,he gave us 4 -5 continuous screams.

24 March 2011 -2nd Motor Milestone...
Siddhu gradually learnt to sit without support.24th March was the first day he managed to sit for 30 seconds without any support.

No cheating worked in Food Matters
Carrots and sweet potatoes will always get a yummm reaction.But other than that,Siddhu never liked anything.
The moment he tasted the first spoon ,he knows what it was.No forcing and no cheating ever worked...

Siddhu started rolling over from april 1.But the rate at which he rolled rapidly changed after his first week in daycare.

FIRST DAY IN DAYCARE -APRIL 8
First Daycare:Bright horizons,White house station,NJ
Start date :April 6th
My mom was a working woman.I was 3.5 yrs old when my baby brother was born.While at work,She left me and my brother with our grandmother.My mom told me that Whenever my baby brother cried,i used to join him saying 'Can someone please feed my brother? ; he is crying for Milk'.I personally have experienced how kids feel when parents are not there to answer their cues.My mom was helpless.She had to work to settle our lives and I am here on the same boat.
So,I was all set to send my son to daycare.I wasn't sure if Siddhu will adjust to new environment.We chose the best day care.
No matter what,it is hard for moms to let their children in others hands.
New place and new faces.I took a day off to have a check on Siddhu.He is just a baby and it would take a while for him to adjust to the new environment.He cried for a while.I was low the entire day .More than my son,i was the one to shatter.Moms speak out;dads never.I am sure his dad also felt the same way i did.

Month 3 to Month 8
80 days passed...
Time for my mom to go back home.Dad was already missing mom to the core...
My mother-in-law was here after a week.Ours was a love marriage.I need not mention how good MIL-DIL relation would be in such a circumstance.I had a real tough time.I tried keeping my mouth shut for 6 months.But she did not let me. Every time she bit me,i bit her back.She was always on top of my head.She hated me.For such a hatred,i could not pay her back with my love.
I missed my mom terribly.
Siddhu was growing fast.He started recognizing our faces.With both my sweethearts around,i felt relaxed even on stormy days.

Stitches were healing but i could still sense the pain while moving around.I literally did nothing except for taking care of my son.My mom took care of me like i was just born.Mom's presence lightened my pain and fear.
Every single day was awesome with Siddhu.He started looking more like a baby.His smile,his cry ,his actions...He created a new me with full of selflessness.
Top of the world will not be synonymous to what i felt underneath my heart.Warm hug from a caring husband and tender touch from a sweet baby.Life is so complete than ever before...

Day 1 at Hospital
After an hour,nurse took Siddhu to observation room for examination and i could not wait to see him again.THey gave him back to us in a while after Siddhu passed the conducted tests.
Mom was at home to prepare next day breakfast and nagaraj stayed with me all night.I had grade 3 stitches and post pregnancy was real painful.I could just not move from my bed.Siddhu was awake whole night.May be realized he is in a new world:-).

Letter to Siddhu :DAY AT THE HOSPITAL

Today ‘s Date: Sep 30th 2010
It was morning 7.05 AM when we(myself,your mom and lakshmi patti) started from our home to the Somerset Medical Center ,New Jersey ,US. It was heavily raining the whole day and it took us an hr to reach the hospital. After Parking our car,we went directly to registration counter in the hospital.
8.20 AM- we were at registration office of the hospital. All the formalities and procedures of registration got over around 8.50 AM. We were asked to march towards the Labor and Delivery ward. Immediately, your mom was admitted in room 153 of the ‘Labour and Delivery ward’.
9.00 AM –Your mom was asked to change her dresses and lie on her back. First they measured your heart beat followed by your mom’s blood pressure for vg and temperature. Then they took some blood samples. After that, to avoid dehydration, it was time to start the glucose dosage.Nurse pierced a big needle in her left hand to pass glucose.
9.25 AM -The doctor came in and measured dilation level and she said dilation was already 5 cms. So,5 more cms to go .Many ladies in US get admitted at 2.So,doctor was like-‘OMG,you are already 5 and we are good to go’.She was lot more surprised .
9.30 AM-Time for picotine.Picotine is a medicine which artificially induces labor pain. They started passing this medicine through her left hand along with the glucose. Now the time is 9.55 AM and the contractions have become little stronger than usual. To be continued….
11.00 AM-During this course , she had regular contractions which were monitored by the doctors and nurses…and finally @ 11.15, water broke on its own.
11.30 AM -Discussions were going on between the myself, nurse and your mom about taking epidural which is kind of a medicine that should be taken in the Spinal cord for reducing the labor pain. You know what, the pain is unbearable and this is a substitute which is used for this purpose to make pregnant women feel comfortable during pregnancy. So finally, I decided that your mom will go for it.
12 Noon - Dr. Walker walked in and explained us about the procedures of epidural and your mommy was given a shot. She had to sit erect and they injected a big needle through her spine during which she should not to avoid the risks of having a spine head ache.Epidural has lots of risks if not taken properly. I know it was un bearable for her seeing her reactions during that time. After 15 minutes ,she started feeling the numbness in her tummy, lower part of the abdomen and legs. But,this definitely will make her comfortable and she will be good to go for a while.
1:30 PM -she was 8 cms dilated. The doctors were expecting you around 3 – 5 PM. Thank God, she did not feel much pain because of the epidural .she was slowly dilating. Excitement still continues and the time was 2.15….
2.40 PM-Nurse has started setting up the delivery room for your arrival. They said that by 3 PM Viji can start pushing… heart pounded more …TBC at 3.
She could feel the baby's head right in the spot and at 3 PM the doctor and nurses stepped into the room to start pushing exercise. It was time for my role to give her hope ,confidence ,mental and moral support that she could do a natural birth. She started pushing but could not make it. I know it was tough to get it right at the first time. She tried too hard but couldn't make it. The doctor helped her and I could see bit of the your head and hair when she tried pushing. It's around 3.20 PM and doctor felt that the your heart rate may go down and she said she was going to use a vacuum to pull you out.
I personally felt that she could have waited more because your mom just started pushing and for a first timer how could they expect to push the baby out in 20 mins. She took the tools and set the vacuum in appropriate position and in the next few pushes the you were out @ 3.32 PM.
3:32 PM HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIDDHU,MY JUJU BOY…
It was all mixed emotions and I have been with her all through this process and in the last 30 mins holding he hands and legs ,helping her out in all sorts of ways that I could.Few drops of tears rolled down my cheeks after years. They took you out and droped on your mother’s chest for a while and the doctor asked me if I would cut the umbilical cord between the boy and mommy. I boldly said YES and bravely honored the cermony .
Then nurses cleaned and measured your body. You weighed 5 pounds and 15.8 ouncesyou’re your height was 19.4 inches. While they were doing this, doctors were doing stiches for Vg parallely .Without caring for the pain,her eyes were set on Siddhu .She was asking if she can see you again.I could see that pain in her eyes vanished the moment you were born.
Finally after cleaning it was photo session and sweets distribution. Long story in short . Finally we are entering parenthood and its going to be exciting, thrilling whatever you can name it. All together it's going to be a new start again for us with you, cute little pumpkin SIDDHU.

So,this is it...A wonderful journey of 10 months was going to take a new turn..Finally,we chose to be induced.Sep 30,2010 was the next big day of our lives...
Pregnant women fart,they lose shape,they look tired,they eat like elephants...still everyone loves being pregnant..You sound more perfect with all possible imperfections...It was Special by all means...People treat you special..Anywhere you go,you get the preference.You get to eat whatever you like.I loved being pregnant:-D.Not only my belly grew,i grew myself as a mom ;-)

Pregnant women fart,they lose shape,they look tired,they eat like elephants...still everyone loves being pregnant..You sound more perfect with all possible imperfections...It was Special by all means...People treat you special..Anywhere you go,you get the preference.You get to eat whatever you like.I loved being pregnant:-D.Not only my belly grew,i grew myself as a mom ;-)

THIRTIES ...30th week to 38th week
Week 30 - Belly started showing up.No tight Tee's
Week 31 - Sleepless and tiresome nights started ...
Week 32 - Finally,someone arrived -Mr.craving.:-)..I was expecting him in initial stages.but when he arrived,he just got icecreams and icecreams for me :-).Icecreams seemed more creamier and more tastier than any food to me after week 31.So,my hubby took me to this place called polar cub on US 22 almost every week :-)
Week 33 -Eating even few spoons of rice made me feel full and exhausted.Sitting in sofa all the time was heavenly and stress releaving remedy ;-)
Week 34 -Fear ,anxiety grew more along with the love for the new stranger
Week 35 -kickboxing champion proved all his skills thr'o nights.i experienced kicks in between my ribs..it was painful yet a wonderful experience.gives an assurance that boxer is getting strong day by day ;-)
Week 36-hiccup nights...I felt rhythmic beats in my tummy for like 2 hours in a night.Then i realised,my baby just learnt how to hiccup :-)
Week 37 -Hubbies love cannot be defined..Mom's love cannot be measured...A gal will always need both supports @all times...This week,My mom arrived to take charge.
Week 38 -I accepted for a job offer in week 38.It was a hard decision to take.

DOSA DOSA DOSA!!
Nausea was sickening me to the core.I used to run away from any kinda smell.No powders,No soap,no lotions,no perfumes...there were many no's ,i dont remember all of them now.For 3 whole months,my sole food was dosa,dosa and dosa.Even dosas used to taste weird if i spread the batter. :-(
Anytime i am hungry,my hubby would volunteer to make dosas and side dishes for me.i always trashed those dishes.:-(....Both were travelling together in pregnancy with respect to food :-)Poor him...:-)
Forgot to add..Many days,i have also snacked on those dosas..

FLUTTERING BUTTERFLIES ...
So far,i had to remind myself that somebody was inside me.From 21 weeks on,it was amazing.I could feel my baby moving around.I started to experience soft kicks all over my belly which were more like a couple of butterfiles fluttering in the same direction. :-)When i touch my belly hard,my baby responsed back with a kick.:-)I loved playing... :-)
Only i could feel my baby.Only i could sense what it was upto.This made it even more special...My bond with the baby was increasing day by day.

PRINCE/PRINCESS???
Sex of the baby is something that everyone would want to know after 20th week ultrasound.:-)Specialist had handed us out couple of 3D pictures from which we inferred the sex of the baby.We could not trust and conclude our inference, so we never revealed it to anybody :-)

Third Ultrasound-@ 20 weeks

Seems, babies male/female organs develop inside mother's womb when they
are 5 months.My hubby went through a couple of magazines to learn how to find babies sex looking at the ultrasound.All set to go...
Date :18th MAY 2010
Time :8:00 AM in the morning
Place:Somerset Medical center
Same ward.Same specialist.Same bed.But one thing was different.Our excitement to see the baby.Transducer probe moving on my tummy and eyes fixed on monitor,we eagerly waited to see the baby.
OMG!!we saw it ...It was no more an alien creature now.Well distinguished eyes,nose,ribs,bones,fingers,toes and a big tummy :-D .Tears rolled down my cheeks seeing the tiny little baby .That was picture of our little one @ 5 months.Specialist handed over couple of pictures and one among them revealed sex of the baby.. :-)
Length :19 cms.bit longer than a half foot scale. :-)
Heart rate :172/minute
After going back home,i must have seen this picture for atleast 20 -30 times.Babies have ears and they can hear you after 5 months in the womb.Reading this fact,I started talking to my baby from then on...

DOCTOR VISITS TILL 24 weeks
Our doctor visits till 5 months were always brief.In fact,our waiting time was longer than consulting time. :-)Doctors in US never open their mouth unless and until you put them into a questionnaire session.They are very careful in uttering words.

I registered myself to this website.This was too informative that we never needed a doctor consent.We would just visit to hear our doll's horse riding.I meant his heart beat. :-)

Second Ultrasound -@ 12 weeks
6 weeks after the first ultrasound.Again,there was no big difference in me except for nausea.

It was the same lady in ultrasound ward.She called out my name and we rushed in with excitement to see how the little one looked like.Transducer probe moved on my tummy and we saw the baby in the monitor.Baby had grown to the size of a tadpole now.It had a head,tummy,hands and legs.That is all we could see in 3D :-(. It was too busy moving his hands and legs at a fast rate. :-)
Specialist handed out a copy of our babies 3D picture.This was the ultrasound picture of our little baby at 3 months.It was 4.5 cms in length and its heart beat was about 171/minute. :-).
Untill 3rd month,i never realised something was growing inside me.I was so lethargic about my health.Now,i realised that it was my responsibility to make the tiny one grow healthier and stronger before it sees the world.My intake increased slowly.Towards the end,I drank about 1 quart of milk a day. :-)

FIRST ULTRA SOUND-@ 6 weeks
Baby had just formed.Except for my nausea,i did not see any difference in me.
Feb 7th 8 AM 2010, we were in ultrasound ward.The ultrasound specialist moved the transducer probe all over my belly and in no seconds,we could see the tiny lil creature we created on the monitor.Baby looked like a small ball and we heard the heartbeat.It was a one of the all time best moments.
Specialist told us that everything was normal and oct 3rd would be my due date.

Exactly,2 months after our wedding...
I was cooking lunch for my hubby in kitchen and suddenly felt discomfort in my upper tummy.Initially,i thought it was the dal makhni churning my tummy.
hmm...Then,I could not bare the smell of my favorite spinach.This was
strange!!So,I just stopped cooking and started talking to my mom.Casually,i just informed my mom that i have mild vomitting sensation from morning.
My mom insisted me to rest for a while.My mom is one of the'Kabhi kushi Kabhi gumm' types.She always feels me and my brother wherever we are...I sensed the panic in her tone.THAT WAS HINT NO.1.I sat on the couch crossing my fingers.Mixed emotions....My moms warning was building strong tension underneath.Clock showed 12:00 and my husband will be home anytime from now...
He was home in minutes and i could not express what i was going through.I could express only tears.With tears,i told him about my hint.My hubby hugged meinstantly.I definetely felt better with the hug.It is true that hugs and tears on its own express millions of feelings....
Late in the evening,we got a manual kit to test pregnancy...10 important seconds of life...
10 secs up and First response showed 2 pink lines which means i was pregnant... :-/
Shock and surprise served in one plate!!!

NEVER ENDING DISCUSSION...
I was already 26 yrs old in Jan.Myself and my hubby had a never ending discussion about prons and cons of having baby through out the month of jan.Pros were that we will get a peaceful life in later 50s.Cons were that we will miss our youngy ages:-)
As i mentioned before, ours was a pure love marriage.Our parents neglected our marriage stating many logic zero complications.One of which was-'You guys will have problems in having a baby'.These statements were purely based on the day outs our parents had with famous astrolgers in and around the city :-).You will not believe if i said they spent in 1000s on those stupid astrologers!!!
Eventhough we never trusted such stupid remarks,this particular baby thing was hitting my mind too hard.So,we decided not to use any precautions and accept whatever comes in return...

NOV 27...Thats when we started our new life of happiness after a big struggle!!!Ours was purely a love marriage :-)..Thats the hint for now...
Penning down the most cutest and sweetest memories would atleast take a year:-)So,Keep checking my blogs:-).I will definetly share the magick ride...
